Job Summary
Manager, Behavioral Health overseeing daily operations of assigned treatment facilities, supervising up to 12 employees, ensuring client care per service plans and licensure requirements, coordinating with clinical team, and maintaining compliance and quality initiatives. Responsibilities include staff training/orientation, scheduling, on-call supervision, budgeting, documentation in EMR, coordination with off-site programs, transport coordination, and ensuring adherence to policies. Requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus experience in behavioral health and supervisory roles. Certifications and driver qualifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 21 years or older
- Valid AZ Driver's License and insurance, and available transportation within the community
- Four years’ experience in behavioral field and two-years supervisory experience
- Must be able to obtain Certified Caregiver Certification
- Ability to communicate information necessary for quality program operations across all levels, including clients both orally and in writing
- Must possess minimum skills and knowledge to perform essential job functions as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
- Must be able to accurately document client progress in the electronic medical record, according to policy and standards
- Solid understanding of behavioral health diagnoses and symptoms
- Must be able to work independently as well as develop and supervise cohesive teams
- Must be able to de-escalate volatile behavioral situations as they arise
- Must have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through a background and fingerprint clearance through the Department of Public Safety with no restrictions
