Job Summary
Oversee daily baking, packaging, merchandising, and production to meet sales forecasts and seasonal promotions. Ensure product freshness, proper labeling, and allergen handling while enforcing sanitation standards and cleaning schedules. Manage inventory levels, order supplies from vendors, and track waste, shrink, and department costs through regular counts. Lead a team of bakers and associates by hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting performance reviews. Handle special orders, custom cakes, and customer complaints while maintaining high presentation standards for bakery displays. Submit weekly sales, labor, and waste reports to leadership and participate in seasonal menu planning. This role requires early mornings, weekends, and holidays, with a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bakery experience, including scratch baking and decorating
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience
- ServSafe certification (or willing to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to lift products up to 50 pounds
- Must work around ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment
- Early mornings, weekends, and holiday availability are required
