Job Summary
Manager, Avionics Project Management leads project management specialists supporting Avionics programs, supervises employees performing business management activities within the Project Management function, and develops/executes project and process plans, policies, and procedures to achieve on-time performance and profitability. Establishes PMBP goals, secures resources, provides technical oversight of suppliers, and builds strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and prior program management experience. Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience; PMP and aerospace/avionics experience are highly relevant. Relocation assistance not negotiable; U.S. export controls compliance and visa sponsorship not offered. Summary pay range: 145,350 - 196,650.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in leadership roles (team leader, temp manager, large-scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or completion of Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'
- Experience in contracts and proposals
- Prior experience with project management
- PMP certification preferred
- MBA or equivalent leadership degree (preferred)
- Experience within commercial aviation, specifically avionics systems (preferred)
