Job Summary

Lead daily avionics operations by overseeing modification, maintenance, and preventative maintenance while guiding technicians through troubleshooting, installations, inspections, and repairs. Execute and supervise system integrations, return-to-service testing, and complex electrical issues to ensure strict FAA and Part 145 compliance. Manage shop priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate workflow to maintain accurate documentation, logbook entries, and wiring diagrams. Mentor technicians through training and coaching to build bench capabilities while promoting a safe, organized workspace. Contribute to process development, tooling needs, and long-term department growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Airframe, or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification
  • B1, B1.1, and/or B2 certification
  • US Person status (US Citizen, Permanent Resident not working for foreign entity, or political asylee)
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts and assembly
  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team
  • Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships, persuade and influence
  • Demonstrated experience with high-level, critical, analytical, and strategic thinking
  • Ability to balance sensitive company information with customer needs and issues
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Demonstrated experience with Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours as required
  • Able to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program
  • Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance/able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance
  • Able to reach overhead
  • Able to work in a non-dust-free environment
  • Normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks)
  • Full range of motion with both hands
  • Able to work in a stooping, kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas

Desired Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years' recent commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years' aircraft maintenance leadership experience
  • B1.1 certification
  • B2 certification
