Job Summary
Develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligning with the University's vision, proactively identify newsworthy stories to enhance media exposure, and oversee the production of publicity materials across internal and external platforms. Identify and mitigate public communication risks while handling media enquiries and managing public affairs. Establish and nurture strong connections with media organisations in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and abroad. Candidates must possess a recognised degree in Journalism or Communication Studies, at least ten years of relevant experience, and an established network with media professionals. Willingness to work weekends and outside office hours is required. The initial appointment is on a fixed-term contract of two years.
Required Qualifications
- A recognised degree, preferably in Journalism, Communication Studies or a related discipline
- At least ten years of relevant work experience in corporate communications, public affairs and media relations
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
- An established network with media professionals
- Strong sensitivity in current affairs and political landscape
- Detail-oriented, highly organised, and capable of working independently with strong project management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities for engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to work on weekends and outside office hours when required
