Job Summary
Lead all Security operations across Macy's multi-store footprint, overseeing asset protection to support company profit objectives and customer service goals. Responsibilities include protecting assets, alarms, property, employees and visitors; hiring, training, and supervising security staff; coordinating with Facility Management and Asset Protection on shortages; investigating causes of loss; ensuring compliance with security policies; managing security fulfillment operations and budgets; conducting performance appraisals; maintaining safe work environments; and driving safety, cost control, and readiness to meet performance objectives. Requires 3-5 years of direct experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage reporting, processes, and schedules in a retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years direct experience in security/asset protection or related field
- Ability to lead and supervise security staff
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Ability to manage budgets and performance metrics
- Ability to interpret safety rules and procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting
- Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays
