Job Summary

Lead the store executive team in planning, implementing, monitoring, and managing shortage prevention and awareness programs. Manage and monitor internal and external theft investigations, apprehensions, and recoveries while analyzing theft trends through available reports, systems, and technology. Recruit and develop qualified Asset Protection talent, manage direct reports, and foster a culture that values retention and succession planning. Uphold Macy's commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect, ensuring selling floor merchandise protection standards are maintained through regular audits. Handle high-profile incidents, special event management, and visits with senior leadership while leveraging partnerships with local law enforcement and community leaders. Assume an elevated leadership role to develop action plans for significant shortage opportunities and drive awareness focused on prevention.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of prior Asset Protection management experience
  • This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
  • Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
  • May involve reaching above eye level
  • Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Able to sustain long periods enclosed in surveillance areas
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs
  • Candidates with a High School Diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply

  • Adaptability: Capacity to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure, adapting strategies as needed to address evolving challenges
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to effectively manage resources, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality
