Manager, Asset Protection

Job Summary
Manage and communicate the overall asset protection and loss prevention effort within assigned stores to reduce inventory shortage and controllable losses. Develop, execute, and enforce AP plans, shortage programs, and company policies while recruiting, hiring, and training asset protection associates. Lead internal investigations, resolve theft cases, and testify in civil and criminal proceedings. Audit compliance across operational security standards, analyze customer and employee accidents, and build awareness of theft mitigation strategies. Network with local law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel to provide a safe environment for customers and associates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university
- 3-5 years related experience
- Excellent communication skills - ability to identify and communicate site-specific ideas and programs
- Ability to work with all levels of management
- Strong interpersonal skills; good follow-up skills
- Working knowledge of the physical security aspects of the job including alarms, EAS, CCTV, and lock and key
- Ability to make solid business decisions, make recommendations and implement necessary changes
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Must be a team player
- Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching, color vision and climbing ladders
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
- Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
