Job Summary
Lead apprenticeship development, compliance, and reporting as the primary contact for USDOL and the State of Michigan LEO Sector Strategies Office. Manage internal and external pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship projects while overseeing data-driven continuous quality improvement and program audits. Strategize with employers to assess talent gaps, build solutions, and lead proposal development to support employer demand. Supervise Apprenticeship Program Coordinators, handle performance management, and organize recruitment workshops. Conduct research to compile reports and prepare recommendations for program expansion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of training and/or professional experience in business, workforce development, or related field
- Three years of related experience (Career Services, Training, Advising, Recruiting or Talent Acquisition)
- Project management principles and ability to handle multiple assignments
- Budget management
- Best practices and innovative strategies in career development, training and work-based learning
- Effectively market and represent programs and services to employers
- Excellent customer service
- Interpret and apply local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Supervisory and managerial principles
- Research, analyze, and interpret data
- Develop and present oral and written reports and presentations
- Develop and implement objectives, policies and procedures
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals and groups
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Five years of related experience in workforce and/or economic development
- Demonstrated understanding of the apprenticeship model
