Job Summary
Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams to design and implement scalable, highly available, and resilient platforms while ensuring applications are designed with infrastructure considerations including capacity planning, performance tuning, and failover strategies. Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and platform engineering practices to oversee environment strategy across DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD, ensuring consistency, automation, and governance. Ensure observability is in place to support proactive issue detection and collaborate on disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including testing and validation of recovery objectives. Define, implement, and promote processes, best practices, and standards for application development and deployment including service oriented architecture, reusable code, and security controls following Agile Methodologies. Provide technical leadership to a team of developers to make appropriate technical decisions that meet business needs, set priorities based on tactical and strategic objectives, and eliminate roadblocks. Manage budget according to plan by preparing yearly forecasts, facilitating capital request preparation, and assessing future resource needs. Accountable for application performance, stability, end-to-end transactional flows, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for any outages. Coach and counsel employees on performance, set performance standards, recommend pay actions, and manage training needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Business Management, Engineering or related field
- Seven (7) years or more experience
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible, comprehensive experience in Application Development and IT Project Management
- Possess strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead, train and develop a self-directed workforce, including effective delegation skills and ability to manage assigned responsibilities
- Superior interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
- Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others and gains understanding
- Effectively and clearly communicate to the end-user community, tailoring the communication style/method to the specific need and be able to discuss technical solutions in a non-technical manner
- Strong analytical/technical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated successfully implementing change/improvements
- Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)

- Excellent knowledge of program coding techniques, file access methods, testing techniques and documentation methods
- Knowledge of architecture and infrastructure required to support various applications and technologies
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
