Job Summary

Manage alumni event operations and communications strategies to inspire and equip the network toward 2030 goals, including designing convening tactics, planning logistics, and supporting individual outreach for programs like the RISE Fellowship and Alumni Induction. Lead the development and distribution of the NC alumni newsletter, manage social media platforms, and handle centralized inbox communications to strengthen community engagement. Maintain data integrity by managing alumni records in Microsoft Dynamics, updating stakeholder information, and ensuring continuity between campaigns and CRM systems. Serve as an organizational steward by participating in staff committees and regional initiatives. This role requires 40 hours per week with occasional evening, weekend, and travel to North Carolina offices.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience
  • Previous experience working in PK-12 education, higher education, or program coordination
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and consistently track multiple tasks simultaneously to meet goals, communicate progress, and follow through with execution plans
  • Orientation to problem-solving and action, and a relentless goal orientation; willing to jump in and quickly take on work when urgent needs arise with a spirit of flexibility and a positive outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate relationships and structures to inspire action toward shared goals
  • Genuine excitement for efficiency and support of others to achieve collective goals
  • Exceptional organization skills and unwavering attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, remote-first environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Outlook, Google, and Microsoft platforms
  • Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week, majority during Eastern time business hours
  • Occasional evening and weekend work
  • Occasional travel to Teach For America offices across North Carolina required utilizing your own transportation, with reimbursement for all mileage per TFA travel policy
