Job Summary
Manager – ALM leads the development and execution of the Bank’s ALM program, focusing on the ALM system (primarily QRM) and associated tools (SQL Server, Excel macros, IRR infrastructure). Responsible for overseeing ALM staff, ensuring coverage across ALM functions (measurement, monitoring, reporting), and maintaining procedures, policies, and training materials related to IRR. Acts in accordance with regulatory guidance (FDIC, Fed, CA DBO), delivers monthly Board ALCO reporting detailing IRR changes, risk drivers, and forward recommendations, and communicates with Treasury, CFO, COO, and business lines. Collaborates with Treasurer and Liquidity Manager to ensure regulatory-compliant treasury models (SR11-7) are monitored/backtested/validated timely. Supports accounting and investor relations to ensure proper vetting of IRR-related financial releases. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years in asset liability management or related fields; strong analytical and modeling capabilities; project management and coordination skills; clear, professional written communication; and proficiency with MS Office; preferred familiarity with ALM systems (QRM, Bancware), SQL/XML/VBA, and Bloomberg. Salary range $165,000.00 - $180,000.00 annually plus bonus and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in asset liability management, quantitative modeling, or similar field
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
- Strong analytical and modeling skills
- Solid project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- High-performance, high-quality approach to managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Good team player with interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to research, formulate ideas, and develop actionable insights
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access)
- Preferred: Experience with Capital/ALM system such as QRM or Bancware or other related software is highly desirable
- Preferred: Working knowledge of SQL, XML, VBA
- Preferred: Experience with Bloomberg
