Job Summary
Plan, execute, and oversee US audit engagements for diverse clients in compliance with US GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB standards. Review and finalize audit workpapers, financial statements, and deliverables while leading, mentoring, and managing a team of audit professionals. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries, managing expectations, and fostering strong relationships. Stay updated on regulatory changes and provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing issues.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA - US) designation
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive audit experience in a public accounting firm
- At least 1-2 years in a managerial role
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on US audit engagements
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
- Experience working on NFP audits
- Experience working on Employee Benefit Plan audits
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple audit engagements and teams simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to interact effectively with US-based colleagues and clients
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Passion for developing and mentoring junior staff
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in the use of audit software
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
