Job Summary
Manager to lead our privately-held accounting services practice within a growing public accounting firm. Responsible for ensuring quality execution of compilation engagements and tax returns for small business clients, overseeing non-audit engagements, coaching the accounting team, and contributing to practice management and business development. Key duties include reviewing engagement files and tax returns, building client relationships, mentoring staff, coordinating with the scheduler, and identifying value-added service opportunities. Requires CPA designation (or equivalent CA/CGA/CMA) and prior management experience in public accounting, with strong tax and investment-management knowledge and proficiency with Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, Excel, and QuickBooks.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accounting designation (CPA in combination with CA, CGA, CMA)
- 1-2 years managerial working experience in a public accounting environment
- experience overseeing small business accounting client work including file and tax return reviews
- experience as the “doer” performing similar work
- strong knowledge of tax and investment management/holding company experience
- caseware/caseview, TaxPrep, Excel, QuickBooks proficiency
- excellent communication and client relationship skills
