Job Summary
Prepare, review, and post journal entries while resolving accounting issues and ensuring compliance with internal controls and best practices. Analyze processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation, leading efforts to reduce manual activities through technology-enabled solutions such as SAP, BlackLine, and reporting tools. Partner with business, FP&A, and Controllership teams to improve financial processes, support month-end through year-end close activities, and develop documentation for audit readiness. Utilize data analytics to identify trends and strengthen reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience with strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting operations, and controls
- Experience reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Strong understanding of accounting policies, governance, and best practices
- Demonstrated process improvement, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent years of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Shared Services environment, Accounting Center of Excellence (COE), or large corporate accounting organization
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine, and other financial systems supporting accounting and close processes
- Experience supporting accounting automation, workflow improvements, or finance transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated success implementing solutions that improve efficiency, control effectiveness, and reporting accuracy
- Strong understanding of SOX compliance, internal controls, audit requirements, and accounting governance frameworks
- Experience utilizing data analytics, reporting, or automation tools such as Power BI, Dataiku, SQL, or similar technologies to support decision-making and process improvement
