Job Summary
Lead a software development team in designing and building Golang-based microservices and distributed systems. Responsibilities include architecting RESTful APIs, implementing containerized applications with Docker, deploying and managing microservices with Kubernetes, and guiding the team through design-to-delivery lifecycle, while aligning with budgets and performance metrics. The role includes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with QA, and acting as a primary liaison between Software Engineering and other teams. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week per company policy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience designing and implementing microservices-based systems; of which three (3) years include designing RESTful APIs; developing distributed systems; using Git for version control; developing software and web applications using XML, JSON, HTML, CSS and PostgresSQL; of which two (2) years include developing software using Golang or equivalent systems languages; leveraging Goroutines and Channels in Golang, or equivalent multi-threading techniques in other systems languages; of which one (1) year includes creating and managing containerized applications using Docker; and deploying and scaling microservices using Kubernetes.
