Job Summary
Management & Sales Training Program at Sherwin-Williams is an entry-level, accelerated track to Store Management in 18-24 months, beginning with 8-week training and ongoing development. Responsibilities include collaborating with store management to oversee a million-dollar business, growing market share by selling to large commercial users (painting contractors, purchasing agents, manufacturers), and gaining experience in operations, customer service, sales, marketing, finance, and store administration. The role includes leadership development, building relationships with wholesale/retail customers, and supporting outside sales to increase market share. Program components emphasize career progression, professional networking, and a structured path toward Assistant Store Manager, with emphasis on learning all aspects of store operations, customer service excellence, and compliance with safety and loss prevention policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
- Must have at least a bachelor's degree by the start of this development program
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
