Job Summary
The VP role focuses on strengthening MICMA's data analytics capabilities and partnering with IT to establish robust data foundations, build sophisticated analytical frameworks, and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders. Responsibilities include developing financial models and performance dashboards for business reviews and cost optimization, supporting budgeting and forecasting, improving data infrastructure and governance, leading data quality initiatives, automating month-end workflows, documenting data sources and methodologies, and translating AI/ML pilots into scalable solutions while maintaining clear communication with non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, management information, business intelligence, or analytics roles
- Financial services experience in investment banking, asset management, or similar environment
- Strong FP&A capabilities including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
- Microsoft Excel: Expert-level proficiency including advanced formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/Macros, and complex financial modeling
- Power BI: Advanced proficiency including data modeling, DAX, custom visualizations, dashboard design, and Power BI Service administration
- SQL: Strong proficiency in complex queries, data extraction and transformation, and query optimization
- Python or R for data analysis; Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar automation/data preparation tools
- Good understanding of data visualization principles and storytelling with data
- Good understanding of AI/ML concepts and emerging technologies
