Job Summary

Drive improvement of maintenance planning practices across mobile mining equipment and fixed plant assets by working directly with client maintenance teams on-site. Coach and develop client planners and supervisors through structured, on-the-job training to embed best practices into daily routines. Support the design and implementation of work management processes, from job identification to recording, while contributing to frameworks and reference materials for independent client use. Track progress against capability improvement milestones, identifying gaps to adjust coaching approaches accordingly. Ensure high-quality, sustainable project benefits by eliminating safety risks, increasing productivity, and reducing costs. Requires permanent employment with full coverage for accommodation, transport, and insurance; fluent Bahasa Indonesia is mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline
  • 4–10 years of experience in a mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environment
  • minimum of 3 years in a dedicated maintenance planning or scheduling role
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using a computerized maintenance management system (such as SAP Plant Maintenance, IBM Maximo, PRONTO, or Ellipse) in a daily planning capacity
  • Direct experience in work management: planning and scheduling maintenance activities, managing work order backlogs, and coordinating planned versus corrective maintenance
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or delivering structured training to maintenance staff
  • Bahasa Indonesia: professional or native fluency – mandatory
  • Willing and available to be stationed at a client's site for the assignment duration
  • Strong domain expertise in maintenance planning – able to demonstrate, not just describe, best practices to a client workforce
  • A trainer's mindset: patient, structured, and focused on building others' capability rather than doing the work for them
  • Practical knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies, component life management, and work execution standards for either mobile equipment or fixed plant
  • Data-driven approach to measuring and communicating maintenance performance improvement
  • High interpersonal effectiveness and cultural adaptability – able to work closely with Indonesian maintenance crews, supervisors, and management
  • Self-directed and resilient – able to work productively at a remote mine site with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication in Bahasa Indonesia
  • working English proficiency
  • Formal maintenance or reliability qualification (such as CMRP – Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in copper, nickel, base metals mining, or equivalent heavy process industry (oil & gas refinery, smelter, or petrochemical plant) is highly preferred
  • Formal maintenance or reliability qualification (such as CMRP – Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) is highly preferred
