Job Summary
Prepare and analyse management accounts for subsidiary companies and support the Group's largest entity. Ensure invoices are raised, coded, and processed correctly while managing VAT, CIS, and routine regulatory returns. Monitor plant and personnel costs, reconcile fuel reports, and prepare cash flow and staff cost recovery analyses. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and statutory account audits. This role offers a developmental opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to build multi-entity experience within the Dredging division at Boskalis Westminster Ltd, located in Fareham, Hampshire, UK, with up to two days of hybrid working.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Studying or intending to study towards a professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
- Experience of month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Working knowledge or exposure to VAT, CIS and other finance compliance requirements
- Good communication and IT skills, including intermediate Excel skills
- Proven ability to review financial information, problem solve & organise own workload
- Strong attention to detail
