Management Accountant - Operations

Management Accountant – Operations based in Cardiff, supporting Group Operations Finance by turning financial and operational data into actionable insight. Key duties include product costing, variance analysis, scenario planning, operations finance reporting, KPI development, and capital expenditure analysis. Partners with operational teams to drive performance, supports the New Product Introduction process, and champions continuous improvement within the function. Responsibilities also cover month-end/year-end processes, capital expenditure proposals (ROI/NPV/payback), and providing quality financial reports across sites to aid decision-making. The role involves travel to other group sites as needed and offers blended working, along with benefits such as bonus, holidays, pension, and wellbeing initiatives. Essential skills include recognised accountancy qualification (or part-qualified) and experience in operations finance, with strong Excel, data analytics, and familiarity with tools such as Sage X3/Navision, Power BI, and Anaplan; Lean/Six Sigma experience is desirable.
