Job Summary
Support the month-end close and reporting process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Prepare monthly management accounts with performance commentary, analyse key KPIs including Daily Sales and AOV, and process vendor invoices and credit card statements. Calculate sales commissions, prepare HMRC CIS submissions, and perform balance sheet reconciliations to maintain robust financial controls. Provide financial analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and business planning while partnering with stakeholders to improve decision-making. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax requirements, support external audits, and contribute to process improvements. This role offers exposure to a broad finance function within Neighborly's growing network of home service brands across the UK.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role
- Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA (final stages) or qualified AAT
- Strong experience preparing management accounts and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong proficiency across Microsoft 365 applications
- Excellent understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and accounting principles
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
- Calm and effective under pressure, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Highly organised and capable of managing competing priorities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, enthusiastic, and solutions-focused
- Strong team player with the ability to build relationships across departments
- Comfortable working at both strategic and transactional levels when required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a services, engineering, construction, or contracting-based organisation
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O)
- Experience preparing CIS returns
