Job Summary
Oversee transaction processing and coding for operational finance, prepare management accounts for Gross Margin Costs, and lead balance sheet reviews. Conduct variance analysis and support month-end close procedures to drive decision-making for the UK Supply team. Develop budgets and forecasts while challenging assumptions to improve forecasting quality and identify process efficiencies. Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Middle Office Risk, and leadership to enhance financial controls and reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant – CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Degree or equivalent qualification/experience
- Experience undertaking month-end procedures and associated reporting, including budgets and forecasts
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret significant quantities of financial data and relate this to underlying business and cost drivers
- Strong communicator, able to develop credible relationships across the business and constructively challenge stakeholders
- Questioning and inquisitive, with a drive to identify improvements and efficiencies
- Strong personal ownership and accountability for the accuracy and quality of work
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Ambitious and enthusiastic, with a desire to develop within the organisation
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Oracle
- Experience within fuels, energy, logistics, commodities or another operationally complex environment
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools
