Management Accountant - Community Services

Job Summary
Lead the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare accurate monthly management reports, budgets, and forecasts while maintaining the general ledger and completing bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage customer invoicing, direct debit runs, and revenue recognition. Partner with operational managers to analyze financial performance, identify improvement opportunities, and provide commercial advice through financial modeling and scenario analysis. Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and deliver meaningful performance insights. Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, reporting, and business processes. Build strong relationships across the organization as a trusted financial advisor.
Required Qualifications
- CPA or CA qualification
- Minimum 8 years' accounting experience within Australia
- Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working across financial systems
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
Desired Qualifications

- Audit processes
- ERP implementations or multiple accounting systems
