Job Summary
Managed Services Engineer – Tier 3 (Remote, Pacific Time) supports complex enterprise networks across multi-vendor platforms (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, ADTRAN, Juniper, Meraki, HP/Dell). Responsibilities include Tier 3 troubleshooting of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), SD-WAN platforms, SIP/Hosted PBX, VPNs and firewall security, collaboration with field techs and ISPs, root cause analysis, network migrations, performance tuning, mentoring Tier 1/2 teams, on-call 24/7 support, and development of best practices. Requires a Telecommunications Engineering degree or related field, CCNA and vendor certifications, 5+ years in Tier 2/3 network and voice support, and strong TCP/IP knowledge with virtualization and Microsoft ecosystem experience.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering or related field
- Certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE 4, Cisco Meraki Specialist, ADTRAN ATSP/ATSA
- 5+ years of experience in Tier 2/3 network and voice support roles
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network topologies
- Experience with Microsoft platforms (Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
