Job Summary
Perform all mammographic procedures according to the Department Procedure Manual, applying appropriate patient care and recognizing conditions essential for successful completion. Maintain quality assurance records and controls required by the ACR, State, and credentialing organizations while identifying proper anatomical orientation on all images. Practice radiation safety by applying As Low As Reasonably Achievable principles. Requires A.R.R.T. certification and Texas Medical Board state certification. Schedule includes 4x10s with Thursday off.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.)
- State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.)
