Mammography Technologist

Job Summary
This is a temporary, part-time Mammography Technologist role with CancerCare Manitoba (BreastCheck) in Winnipeg, supporting both Winnipeg and mobile screening clinics. Under supervision of the Operations Manager, the incumbent provides high-quality service to clients, performing mammography imaging with a focus on positioning, compression, radiation safety, quality control, and efficient patient care. The role requires CAMRT-accredited qualification, CAMRT breast imaging credentials, active or eligible CAMRT-CAMRTMB membership, a minimum of 3 years in digital imaging using RIS/PACS/EMR, a Manitoba driver’s license with ability to travel across Manitoba (including remote communities), willingness to work flexible days including weekends/evenings, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Preferred experience includes prior mammography work, knowledge of population health screening programs, and experience with Maxon BSP and PenRad; French language ability is an asset. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Radiological Technology education program
- Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 CAMRT courses; able to meet CCMB qualification timeline if not current
- Member in good standing with CAMRT and CAMRT-MB or eligible to obtain prior to start date
- Compliant with CAR continuing education requirements for Mammography Technologists
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Digital Imaging department using RIS, PACS, and EMR systems
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License; provide current driver’s abstract on hire
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and evenings; willing to travel across Manitoba including remote communities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 25 pounds
- Legal to work in Canada
- Thorough understanding of positioning, compression, radiation safety, quality control; strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Preferred: Previous mammography experience
- Assets: knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs; experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad; ability to speak French
