Job Summary
Perform mammography exams and procedures on assigned patients in accordance with department policies and MQSA/ACR standards. Independently operate imaging equipment, verify patient and procedure per protocol, provide clear instructions to patients, ensure imaging quality and safety, participate in ongoing education, maintain equipment and supplies, and coordinate care with other staff. Role requires specialized knowledge gained through vocational/technical education and experience; typically involves working Saturdays on a 8-hour shift and may include teaching opportunities for students or new technologists. Relevant skills include radiologic equipment operation, radiation safety, patient communication, and ability to work independently within a team.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiology or related field
- Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT)
- Mammography Technologist Certification (ARRT)
- Radiologic Technologist state license or license eligible
- Two (2) years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Basic Life Support Certification
