Job Summary
Conduct mammography procedures by reviewing patient history, administering contrast media, and positioning patients for imaging while analyzing results to resolve quality issues. Prepare equipment, select exposure parameters, and perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with MQSA regulations. Assist physicians with interventional procedures such as fine needle aspiration and monitor patient conditions throughout the exam. Enter and transmit scan results while troubleshooting equipment malfunctions as necessary. Perform these duties in a fast-paced onsite environment at UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, with a full-time schedule of 80 hours per pay period.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT-R plus State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT-M within 12 months
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
