Mammography Technologist

Job Summary
Performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures to assist in the detection and diagnosis of breast diseases, ensuring high-quality images through proper positioning, technique, and compression; adheres to safety protocols, radiation protection standards, and infection control guidelines; assists radiologists with mammography-guided procedures (e.g., fine-needle aspiration, needle localizations, biopsies); educates patients on breast health and procedure expectations; maintains accurate documentation and image storage, and ensures compliance with FDA/MQSA and ACR requirements while supporting inventory management and daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in radiologic imaging
- 2-4 years of experience as a mammographer in an acute care hospital setting preferred
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as required by the state
- ARRT Radiography Certification required
- (M) ARDMS or ARRT - Mammography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
