Job Summary
Competently perform routine and specialized breast procedures to produce quality images for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Execute safe and precise procedures while gaining patient cooperation through effective communication and attentive monitoring. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. May orient other staff to the department and identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems using established solutions. Manage assignments within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to meet deadlines while working independently and as part of the team. This full-time, non-exempt role at Sutter Health's SMF-Sutter Med Foundation in Elk Grove requires a CRT-certified Radiologic Technologist with 5+ years of experience. The position offers a weekly salary range of $63.70 to $79.62 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent education/experience
- CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
- RHM-Radiology Mammography
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- General knowledge of diagnostic mammography principles, procedures, views, and equipment
- Some experience responding to traumas and various hospital emergencies
- Capable of performing routine mammographic examinations
- Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline
- General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and related information systems (Radiology (RIS), laboratory (LIS), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and picture archive and communication system (PACS))
- Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
- Ability to identify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options
- Ability to ensure the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI)
- Ability to build collaborate relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives
- One Weekend Shift a month
