Job Summary
The Mammography Technologist performs under the supervision of the Manager, Radiologic Technologist, responsible for diagnostic or screening mammograms, patient education, assisting in intricate examinations like breast biopsies, and maintaining quality control in mammography. Candidates must communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team setting. Required qualifications include ARRT registration, a Radiologic Technology Program graduation, and relevant experience in mammography and QA. Must be willing to train in quality control and stereotactic breast biopsies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a mammographer
- Must possess two (2) years of experience in performing mammography QA under the MQSA Standard
- Must be ARRT registered and a graduate of Radiologic Technology Program
Desired Qualifications
- TOMO experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4
- Will have exposure to high magnetic fields and cannot have any physical condition that would be aggravated by magnetic fields, acoustic noise, and occasional RF exposure.
