Job Summary
Performs mammographic radiologic procedures including screening and diagnostic mammograms, ultrasound, biopsy and hook-wire procedures, and bone density exams. Manages RIS/PACS workflow, transfers images, and ensures accurate exam identification and documentation. Maintains system access, adheres to FDA/ACR QC guidelines, and supports QA activities. Provides CDs as needed, escorts patients per policy, and collaborates with radiologists for image interpretation. Requires mammography certification or ARRT eligibility and effective communication skills; works within Prisma Health protocols and patient-care standards.
Required Qualifications
- Mammography certification or eligibility for ARRT certification
- Education - Certification program - Radiologic Technology
- Experience: One (1) year preferred
- Knowledge and skills in RIS/PACS, FDA/ACR guidelines, QA/QC, patient data collection, and excellent communication
