Job Summary
Position patients, operate diagnostic x-ray equipment, and perform fluoroscopic procedures in an acute care setting. Conduct mammography exams, operate C-arm in the O.R., and minimize radiation exposure using appropriate shielding and safety standards. Accurately input procedural data into electronic medical records, RIS, and PACS while verifying patient information, lab values, and medication usage before each exam. Adhere to department protocols and regulatory safety standards to produce high-quality images for diagnosis.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
- State of Connecticut Radiographer license
- ARRT certification in Radiography
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Interested in an opportunity to be cross-trained in Mammography
