Job Summary
Responsible for performing routine and diagnostic mammography exams to obtain quality images. Engages with patients to gather medical histories and provides guidance on procedures, ensuring optimal imaging outcomes. Reviews patient charts, screens for medical conditions, and addresses any concerns regarding patient care. Maintains imaging equipment, transfers images for analysis, and collaborates with radiologists to coordinate protocols. Requires ability to navigate medical technology and maintain professional communication. Two years of experience in mammography preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two plus years’ experience in Mammography
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Registry in Mammography (M)
- Complete 40 hours of mammography orientation
- Complete 8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
