Mammography Technologist - Per Diem

Job Summary

Conduct daily mammography exams using digital equipment, ensuring proficiency in routine and diagnostic procedures. Perform weekly quality control on machines per FDA and ACR requirements. Assist in training other personnel and students as needed. Maintain appropriate staffing levels during planned or unforeseen staff absences to keep services running smoothly. Pass mammography competency and ARRT boards within one year of starting. Work weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Per Diem status
  • Progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the mammography area
  • Enough credits in digital mammography to perform exams on all equipment
  • Proficiency in routine and diagnostic mammography exams
  • Ability to perform weekly quality control on the mammography machines as required by the FDA and ACR
  • Ability to perform other radiographic procedures according to established practices and under the direction of a Radiologist, Supervisor and Chief Technologist
  • Pass a mammography competency before performing mammography exams
  • Take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of starting in mammography
  • Ability to assist in training other personnel and students as needed
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on call duties as assigned
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT
  • ARRT certification
  • Vermont state licensure or license eligibility
  • At least 1 year experience as a Radiology technologist
  • Successful completion of all Radiology competencies
