Mammography Technologist (Per Diem) - Radiology Diagnostic

Job Summary

Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting, producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams as dependent on location. Complete formal radiologic technology training meeting American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) requirements, obtain Washington Radiologic Technologist status upon hire, and register as a National Registered Technologist - Mammography within one year. This screening-only position supports the mission to advocate, educate, and provide extraordinary care within the Providence family of organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire
  • Dependant on location, prior general radiography experience may be required

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years of Full-time mammography experience
