Job Summary
Provide mammography services to patients in accordance with physicians orders, preparing rooms and diagnostic equipment while developing films per safety standards. Perform high-quality testing, apply knowledge of growth and development for age-specific patients, and maintain strict confidentiality. Evaluate images for technical quality, verify procedures against orders and prescriptions, and contact physicians regarding discrepancies. Input patient data accurately into departmental systems and provide patient education on procedures and pain expectations. Ensure safe radiation levels, perform equipment checks, and adhere to MQSA, ACR, and OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Basic Life Support
- Communication, problem solving-skills, and consistent excellent customer service
- State of Washington certification as Mammography Technologist
- American Registry of Mammography Technologists (AART-M) registration
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of mammography experience
