Job Summary
Mammography Technologist I assists physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating mammographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images. Requires ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography (RT(R)(M)) with state license; associate degree in Radiography preferred; one year mammography experience preferred. Operates mammography equipment, prepares patients, and applies age-specific care to ensure quality diagnostic images.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Radiography (2-year preferred)
- Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required
- ARRT RT(R)(M) certification in Radiography and Mammography, required
- State license (applicable)
- ARRT RT(R)(M)(BD) certification preferred
