Job Summary
Perform mammographic procedures of routine and difficult nature, including screening and diagnostic imaging services for patients. Participate in scheduling procedures for the Breast Imaging Center and train/evaluate other technologists in performing mammographic procedures. Maintain ARRT Mammography certification and a Maryland Radiography license, with CPR certification within three months of employment. This role is part of the elite Radiology team at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where breast imaging experts specialize in both screening and diagnostic imaging services, including 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. The team also performs breast biopsies as part of breast cancer diagnosis and evaluates new technologies to better diagnose and treat breast tissue abnormalities.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, which normally is acquired in a two-year college or technical school program
- ARRT Mammography certified with current registration
- Radiography license by the Maryland Board of Physicians
- CPR certification required within three months of employment
- 3 to 6 months' experience performing mammography Radiology procedures
