Mammography Technologist I-Per Diem-Day-Capitol Hill

Provide mammography services to patients in accordance with physicians orders, preparing rooms and diagnostic equipment while developing films using prescribed safety standards. Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, evaluate images for technical quality, and verify procedures by checking orders and prior reports. Administer contrast media as needed, educate patients on procedures, and address concerns to alleviate anxiety. Maintain strict patient and staff confidentiality, ensure radiation safety levels, and perform equipment checks and quality assurance activities. Input patient data accurately into the departmental computer system and rotate shifts and assignments as required, including surgery and portables. Adhere to MQSA regulations, OSHA policies, and infection control protocols while responding to contrast reactions and assisting with first aid.
