Job Summary
Provide mammography services to patients in accordance with physicians orders, preparing rooms and diagnostic equipment while developing films according to prescribed safety standards. Perform high-quality testing, exercise professional judgment, and apply knowledge of growth and development for age-specific patients. Maintain strict patient and staff confidentiality, comply with MQSA/ACR regulations, and verify procedures by checking orders and prescriptions. Input patient information accurately into the departmental computer system and ensure safe radiation levels by performing equipment checks and adhering to safety rules. Facilitate patient cooperation, address concerns, provide education on procedures, and explain expected exam results. Maintain a neat, clean radiology room, complete quality assurance activities, and report unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Basic Life Support
- Communication, problem solving-skills, and consistent excellent customer service
- State of Washington certification as Mammography Technologist
- American Registry of Mammography Technologists (AART-M) registration

- One (1) year of mammography experience
