Job Summary
Perform mammography examinations according to department policy and ACR guidelines while maintaining proper quality control of the program. Operate all imaging equipment using ergonomic techniques to ensure patient comfort and minimize radiation exposure per the ALARA principle. Serve as a resource to radiologists and maintain a thorough working knowledge of current developments in mammographic imaging. Adhere to established productivity standards and complete required certifications, including ARRT and CPR, within specified timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of ARRT accredited radiology program
- Florida State license from the Department of Health
- ARRT certified mammographer with digital/tomosynthesis experience
- Complete ARRT certified mammographer with digital/tomosynthesis experience within 3 months of employment
- Basic knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures involved with the operation of mammography equipment use
- Basic knowledge of human anatomy and proper positioning of patients to secure desired images
- Methods used in processing images
- CPR certified
- CPR certification required within 3 months of employment
