Job Summary
Provide mammography services to patients in accordance with physicians' orders and MQSA/ACR standards. Prepare mammography rooms and diagnostic equipment; perform high quality testing and develop films while operating equipment safely. Apply knowledge of growth and development to age-specific patient needs, maintain patient and staff confidentiality, and educate patients about procedures. Ensure radiation safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance; verify orders, coordinate with physicians, and communicate results to patients and staff as needed. Maintain teamwork and patient-focused care during shift operations (Day shift, Capitol Hill area).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire
- Basic Life Support required at hire
- State of Washington Mammography Technologist certification and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART-M) registration by date of hire or training option with two years experience
