Job Summary
Provide mammography services to patients in accordance with physicians orders, preparing rooms and diagnostic equipment while developing films per safety standards. Perform high-quality testing, exercise professional judgment, and apply age-specific knowledge to identify patient requirements. Evaluate images for technical quality, verify procedures against orders and prescriptions, and contact physicians regarding discrepancies. Input patient data into the departmental computer system and provide patient education on procedures, pain expectations, and result delivery. Maintain safe radiation levels, perform equipment checks, and adhere to MQSA and OSHA policies. Ensure strict patient and staff confidentiality, manage contrast reactions, and respond to unusual patient conditions. Arrive at the start of assigned shifts, maintain a clean radiology room, and rotate shifts and assignments as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Basic Life Support
- Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Consistent excellent customer service
- State of Washington certification as Mammography Technologist
- American Registry of Mammography Technologists (AART-M) registration

- One (1) year of mammography experience
