Job Summary
Operates X-ray equipment to perform mammography and related procedures, evaluates image quality, and educates patients on the role of regular mammography in breast health. Responsibilities include preparing/maintaining records, maintaining a clean radiology environment, overseeing the Mammography Quality Assurance program, serving as a resource for other mammography technicians, and ensuring compliance with policy and safety standards. Requires completing radiologic technology training and holding ARRT certification, TDH mammography qualifications, current health-license, and CPR/AED certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA-approved school
- Certified in Diagnostic Mammography
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT)
- Current Department of Health license
- TDH mammography qualifications
- CPR and AED certified
