Job Summary
Mammography Technologist responsible for performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders, preparing and positioning patients, and ensuring comfort and safety. Responsibilities include reviewing images for quality, adhering to MQSA/ACR/state/federal regulations, maintaining radiation safety, documenting procedures in the EHR/imaging systems, performing routine quality control and coordinating service for equipment issues. Collaborates with radiologists, providers, medical assistants, and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional service; also assists with scheduling and patient follow-up. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT registration, ARRT Mammography Certification, and current Michigan radiologic credentials; BLS preferred. Minimum experience: preferred one year in mammography; new graduates with mammography training encouraged to apply. Experience with digital mammography, 3D mammography, outpatient imaging, women's health, or diverse patient populations is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- ARRT Mammography Certification [ARRT(M)]
- Current Michigan Radiologic Technologist credentials, where applicable
- Current BLS certification preferred
- Minimum one year of mammography experience preferred; new graduates with mammography training are encouraged to apply
