Job Summary
Performs mammography procedures in accordance with MQSA and organization standards. Reads patient history and physician orders, educates patients about procedures, and handles scheduling. May administer contrast media and/or medications within scope. Monitors patient condition and responds to changes. May assist physician with interventional procedures (e.g., fine needle aspiration, needle localization). Prepares equipment and supplies, selects imaging exposure factors, and implements safety/quality control procedures. Troubleshoots equipment issues and ensures MQSA compliance; analyzes imaging results and addresses image quality problems, including repositioning when needed. Works onsite in a fast-paced environment with a Day shift. Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, ARRT RT and Mammography certification (or ARRT-R with State Provisional Mammographer and ARRT-M within 12 months), state licensure if required, and BLS/CPR certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the ARRT or ARRT-R plus State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT-M within 12 months
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
