Job Summary

Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Administer contrast media or medications when ordered, continuously monitor patient status, and report changes. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, and perform quality control while troubleshooting malfunctions. Position patients, perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and resolve image quality issues by re-positioning or repeating scans. Enter and transmit scan results, assist with interventional procedures like fine needle aspiration, and ensure compliance with MQSA regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Mammography (M) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT-R plus State Provisional Mammographer registration and ARRT-M within 12 months
  • State licensure if required by law
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
