Job Summary
Perform mammograms to precise ACR standards, adapting views based on departmental protocols and patient physical needs. Assist radiologists and physicians with specialized breast imaging procedures while maintaining expert knowledge of mammography equipment and advanced diagnostic technology. Respond to information requests from patients, scheduling teams, and internal departments, building collaborative relationships across the Albany Medical Health System network. Provide life-saving preventative care in a state-of-the-art environment within Glens Falls and the gateway Adirondack community.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology Program
- Active New York State (NYS) Radiologic Technologist License
- Current ARRT registration with specific ARRT Mammography Certification
- Current BLS Certification (or obtained at time of hire)
- 40 hours of initial digital mammography training
- 15 mammography-specific CMEs earned within the last 36 months
- Documentation of 200 mammograms performed within the last 24 months
